About Business Profile

A Business Profile represents a legal entity or taxable person within your organization. If your organization has multiple legal entities (for example, a parent company with different branches or subsidiaries), each entity must have its own business profile in Marmin.

In short: a business profile is your business entity’s identity in the Marmin system. It holds:

  • Your business’s legal information (name, address, tax registration details)

  • Your Peppol network registration status

  • Your Peppol electronic address (used for document transmission)

Each business profile can issue invoices on its own, so you can manage multiple legal entities and their tax compliance from a single Marmin account.

Prerequisites: Select your ASP on the EmaraTax portal

Before you start e-invoicing, you must select your TIN and choose Marmin as your ASP (Access Point Service Provider) on the EmaraTax portal.

Note: In the EmaraTax portal, Marmin appears as M A R M I N AI Software Design LLC when you select the ASP.

If you have not yet selected Marmin as your ASP:

  1. Start onboarding from the EmaraTax portal.

  2. For step-by-step instructions, see the UAE E-Invoicing End-User Process (PDF) guide.

After you select Marmin as your ASP, you will be redirected to a page where you must enter the applicant’s details and complete the verification process.

The UAE E-Invoicing End-User Process (PDF) guide covers:

  • Signing in to the EmaraTax portal

  • Selecting your VAT persona

  • Onboarding with your ASP (Access Point Service Provider)

  • Reverification and offboarding

Managing Your Business Profiles

To begin issuing e-invoices and managing tax documents through Marmin, you must first link your EmaraTax-registered business to your Marmin organization. This process ensures secure verification and seamless integration with the FTA.

Follow these steps to set up and manage your profiles:

  1. Request a Verification Code (OTP)

Before claiming a business, ensure you have selected M A R M I N AI Software Design LLC as your Accredited Solution Provider (ASP) on the EmaraTax portal. Once selected, provide your Tax Identification Number (TIN) and registered email. Marmin will send a one-time password (OTP) to your EmaraTax-registered email to verify ownership.

  1. Claim Your Business Profile

Finalize the connection by entering the OTP received in Step 1. Upon successful validation, the business is officially linked to your Marmin organization. You will receive a unique profile_id, which serves as your primary identifier for generating compliant e-invoices.

  1. Update Profile Information

Keep your business details current. If your contact information or business settings change, you can update specific fields within your profile. These changes will be reflected in all future documents generated under that profile.

  1. Retrieve and View Profiles

Access the full details of any linked business profile at any time. This allows you to verify the data Marmin uses for document generation and ensures your supplier information is accurate and up to date.

  1. List and Organize Profiles

For organizations managing multiple entities, use the listing feature to view all registered business profiles. You can filter by name or email and use pagination to easily navigate through your entire portfolio of businesses.

Notes:

  • The profile_id generated during the claim process is mandatory for all document submissions (for example, as the accounting_supplier_party). It ensures the FTA correctly associates your invoices with your registered business.

  • The Business Profile has to be updated with all details to ensure the delivery of the webhook and transmission of the invoices goes through.

Why is this important?

  • Documents created for a business profile are only transmitted to buyers and the FTA via the Peppol network after onboarding is complete.

  • If EmaraTax onboarding is not completed, your documents cannot be transmitted over the Peppol network.
