What is a Business Profile?
A Business Profile represents a legal entity or taxable person within your organization. If your organization has multiple legal entities (for example, a parent company with different branches or subsidiaries), each entity must have its own business profile in Marmin.
In short: a business profile is your business entity’s identity in the Marmin system. It holds:
Your business’s legal information (name, address, tax registration details)
Your Peppol network registration status
Your Peppol electronic address (used for document transmission)
Each business profile can issue invoices on its own, so you can manage multiple legal entities and their tax compliance from a single Marmin account.
Prerequisites: Select your ASP on the EmaraTax portal
Before you start e-invoicing, you must select your TIN and choose Marmin as your ASP (Access Point Service Provider) on the EmaraTax portal.
Note: In the EmaraTax portal, Marmin appears as M A R M I N AI Software Design LLC when you select the ASP.
If you have not yet selected Marmin as your ASP:
For step-by-step instructions, see the UAE E-Invoicing End-User Process (PDF) guide.
After you select Marmin as your ASP, you will be redirected to a page where you must enter the applicant’s details and complete the verification process.
The UAE E-Invoicing End-User Process (PDF) guide covers:
Signing in to the EmaraTax portal
Selecting your VAT persona
Onboarding with your ASP (Access Point Service Provider)
Reverification and offboarding
Why is this important?
Documents created for a business profile are only transmitted to buyers and the FTA via the Peppol network after onboarding is complete.
If EmaraTax onboarding is not completed, your documents cannot be transmitted over the Peppol network.
